My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach blends insight, practical tools, and a deep understanding of human experience, drawing from three major schools of thought: Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Humanistic/Existential therapies.

Exploring Your Inner World (Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic)

We begin by looking at how your past experiences and relationships shape your present challenges. Using a practical psychodynamic approach, I focus on helping you understand and work through recurring emotional patterns, internal conflicts, and the influence of family dynamics. This deeper exploration is balanced with an emphasis on growth and meaning, drawing on Jung’s creativity and Adler’s focus on purpose and individuality.
Practical Tools for Change (Cognitive Behavioral)

When unhelpful thoughts and behaviors hold you back, I use Cognitive Behavioral tools to guide meaningful change. Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy helps us challenge limiting beliefs, while mindfulness and acceptance strategies support emotional flexibility. These approaches work together to help you feel more empowered and resilient in everyday life.

Fostering Connection and Growth (Humanistic/Existential)

At the core of my work is a belief in your unique potential. Humanistic therapies, like Gestalt, create opportunities for self-awareness and emotional connection, while existential approaches help you explore life’s meaning and navigate challenges with authenticity. I also bring a feminist and empowerment-focused lens to help you feel heard, valued, and understood.
